Aircraft, founded in 2011, is a Ukrainian band that creates music using a drum machine, guitar, and vocals. Their lo-fi sound, reminiscent of early Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, and A.R. Kane, combines gentle vocals, warm and brooding guitar motifs, and classic drum machine and synthesizer sounds. From the light irony of John Maus to the depressive and gothic vibe of This Mortal Coil, Aircraft's music reveals the most hidden aspects of their creativity, as heard in their latest album Sadhu (2023). Based in Berlin, Aircraft is not only a recording and performing band but also a DJ project that participates in various events across Europe.
