Esinam & Sibusile Xaba

Esinam Dogbatse, a versatile flutist, developed an affinity for percussion instruments like the 'tama' at a young age but found practicality in the flute during her travels. Her music is a fusion of diverse influences from various geographical, cultural, and musical backgrounds. In live performances, she prioritizes freedom and spontaneity by minimizing pre-defined elements, allowing for ample improvisation. Esinam has collaborated with notable acts such as Marock'in Brass, Kel Assouf, Teme Tan, Sysmo, Baloji, Melanie De Biasio, Nakhane, Alsarah & The Nubatunes, and Selah Sue. Her unique musical universe has earned her support act roles for these artists' sold-out shows. In 2018, she released her debut EP on Sdban Ultra.
