Grzly Adams
Grzly Adams, a Berlin-based DJ, has built a reputation for his broad musical repertoire and keen sense of trends since the 1996 inception of his career in Cologne. Deeply rooted in the underground hip-hop scene, he has shared stages with international artists such as Diplo, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Baauer. His fascination with samples and their origins led him to explore a wide range of musical influences that have shaped his sound. Since 2003, Grzly Adams has been a fixture in Berlin's urban music scene, playing at clubs like Prince Charles and Cassiopeia. In 2024, he joined the Bassism collective and holds a residency at Club Gretchen, showcasing his passion for bass-driven music. His sound is characterized by blends that incorporate elements of reggae dancehall, baile funk, funk, soul, jazz, and electronic music. Examples include "Beweg den Bam Bam x 3 (Grzly Adams Blend)" and "Willst Du Vs. Lick (Bianca Oblivion Edit) Grzly Adams Blend". In addition to his live shows, Grzly Adams produces mixtapes for artists, labels, brands, and personal projects, with ongoing series like #backtothetracksagain. He has collaborated on projects with Trackstar theDJ (Run The Jewels) and DJ KidCutUp (Pink), among others. Currently, he is working on a collaborative album with pianist Jim Dunloop and a solo project.
