International Music

Independent rock band International Music hails from Essen, Germany, and was established in 2015 by Peter Rubel, Pedro Goncalves Crescenti, and Joel Roters. Their sound is a fusion of various influences, encompassing Krautrock, pop, punk, and psychedelia. The band's cryptic lyrics and vocal harmonies are characteristic elements in their music. Peter Rubel, a former music composition student, contributes vocals, guitar, and keyboards, while Joel Roters, a painter by trade, joined the group as a drummer after its formation. International Music's recent releases under the label Staatsakt include "Die Besten Jahre" (2025), which showcases their versatility in genres such as Rock and Pop, with stylistic influences ranging from Indie Pop to Krautrock, Indie Rock, and Alternative Rock.
