Jiony

Jiony, known as Jona Jon Jion, is a co-founder of Mexico City's electronic music label VAA. His sound spans across Nu-Jazz, Techno, Trip-Hop, Funk, and Latin music, making him a distinctive figure in the contemporary downtempo scene. Over ten years, he has collaborated with artists like Nicola Cruz, El Buho, Matanza, and Nicolas Jaar. His live acts incorporate various instruments, live looping, improvisation, and collaboration with other musicians. As a DJ and Selector, he blends genres such as Hip-hop, Funk, Jazz, Latin, House, and Techno.
