Marcal, born Laerte Marcal in Goiania, Brazil, is a prominent figure in the electronic music scene. His soundscape weaves grooves with psychedelic undertones and an avant-garde perspective. Marcal's sets feature rhythmic arrangements characterized by deep basslines, intricate percussions, and layered textures and effects. Influenced by the rhythms and shamanistic traditions of his Brazilian heritage, he seamlessly integrates these elements with futuristic themes, as demonstrated in tracks like "Bionic Jungle" from the EP “Cyber Dystopia”. Recent releases include "Khaos Theory" on Key Vinyl and a pair of EPs, "Thought Control" and "Enchant & Deceive", both on Enemy Records.
