MADMAN

MadMan, the stage name of Pierfrancesco Botrugno, is a prominent Italian rapper known for his talent in the hip hop scene. He entered the world of hip hop in 2006, participating in the Italian freestyle competition Tecniche perfette. In 2007, he self-produced and released his first mixtape titled "Riscatto," followed by the single "Prequel." In 2008, MadMan published his second mixtape, "R.I.P.," and in 2010, he was ready for the release of his debut album "Escape from Heart," available as a free download. Collaborating with Roman rapper Gemitaiz since 2011, they have released two mixtapes together: "Haterproof" and "Detto, fatto" in 2012. This marks the beginning of their collaboration, which would result in two joint albums, "Kepler" in 2014 and "Scatola Nera" in 2019. In 2013, before signing with Tanta Roba Label, Madman released "MM Vol. 1," marking the beginning of an important series of mixtapes. In 2015, he released "Doppelganger," followed by "MM Vol.2" in 2016, featuring the hit single "Veleno 6" feat. Gemitaiz, which has three Platinum certifications. MadMan continues to alternate between mixtape and album releases. He put out "Back Home" in 2018 and "MM Vol. 3" in 2019, certified respectively Platinum and Gold. In June 2019, MadMan collaborated with Gemitaiz again, releasing "Veleno 7," which broke the national record for daily streams of a single track on Spotify. The song previewed the release of "Scatola Nera," another work born from the explosive mix of MadMan and Gemitaiz. After two years of pandemic, MadMan returned in November 2021 with "MM Vol. 4," whose sound is primarily curated by PK. Darker than previous works, it reflects a time of introspection and uncertainty. The tracklist includes the eighth chapter of the "Veleno" saga feat. Gemitaiz. Since September 2022, MadMan and Gemitaiz have shared the Gemitaiz & MadMan live tour 2022 in Italian sports palaces, following the success of MadMan's MM4 SUMMER TOUR that accompanied his fans throughout the summer.
