Sasha Perera, recognized as Perera Elsewhere, is a multi-award winning experimental pop auteur known for blending technology with introspection. Known for coining the 'Doom-Folk' sound, she has released albums on Los Angeles based label Friends of Friends and has been compared to artists such as Mica Levi, Dean Blunt, Jon Hassell, and Massive Attack. Her music has been licensed for various projects including Ava Du Vernay’s ‘Queen Sugar’ series and Apple's promotional launch of their M2 chip. Beyond her music, she shares her creative knowledge with renowned institutions worldwide, transitioning into collaborative projects and educational initiatives. Her latest album, "HOME," explores identity and self-realization, embodying her evolution as an artist. In 2025, she released tracks tagged as HipHop/Rap on Soundcloud titled Karaba, Fountain, and Visions.
