Thomash, a founding member of Voodoohop, has made significant contributions to the electronic music scene. His multidisciplinary art collective has left an indelible mark on Brazil's underground music scene, with influences spreading globally over the years. Thomash's work is characterized by a fusion of South American elements and contemporary electronica, creating an immersive psychedelic dreamscape. His sound is a dynamic blend of slow melodic techno, krautrock, synthesizer layers, dub, psychedelia, and tropical rhythms, underpinned by a hedonistic ethos that encourages individual and collective freedom of expression. Born in Germany but residing in Brazil for a decade, Thomash has skillfully integrated the exotic multicultural Latin roots with the precision and minimalism of German electronic music. His unique style is further enhanced by his degree in artificial intelligence, allowing him to create intricate compositions featuring oddly spaced percussion and detuned synthesizers. Through the use of his programming skills, Thomash has developed tools that seamlessly integrate live acoustic samples with synthesizers and drum sequencers, resulting in a captivating hybrid between live and DJ sets that are always evolving and pulsing. His performances have taken him to various countries including Japan, South America, the USA, Canada, and festivals such as Sonar Sao Paulo, Melt!, Fusion, Lethargy, and Wiener Festwochen.
