Walter Griot

Walter Griot, a member of the Berlin-based RISE collective alongside Hyenah, Floyd Lavine, Dede, Minco, and Jamiie, blends traditional Senegalese percussion with house and techno in his production and DJ sets. His sound is rooted in African rhythms and elements from the diaspora. Releases such as "Afro House & Afro Tech Slow Down Mix" (2020) showcase his affinity for Afro House and Afro Tech genres. His mixes, like "Afro Tech Mix November 2020" and "Madorasindahouse Mix by Walter Griot" (both from 2019), further demonstrate his commitment to these styles.
