Alinka, a Chicago-based DJ, is recognized for her dedication to house music, blending influences from her hometown's scene, Detroit techno, and European bass music. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, she immigrated to the US as a Jewish refugee in the late '80s, discovering Western pop music and later house music. After years of practicing and working in the Chicago club scene, she became a resident DJ at Smartbar. A pivotal moment came in 2012 when she met Shaun J. Wright, leading to numerous musical collaborations.
