Al-fatmalay, a collaborative project by Fatima Hamido and Layla Too, blends the rich heritage of Balkan and Arab music with contemporary world avant-garde sounds. Their DJ sets showcase a unique fusion of Arabic pop, house, and world music, as demonstrated in their releases such as "Sukkar & Tahineh" and "3AM Period Dance." Their music serves as a testament to the rejuvenation of tribal sounds, offering a fresh take on traditional tunes.
