Ariwo

Ariwo

ARIWO, a four-piece ensemble, fuses electronic music with Afro-Cuban rhythms and Iranian mysticism. Their name, "Ariwo," translates to "noise" in Yoruba. The band comprises POUYA EHSAEI, recognized as a significant figure in Iranian electronic music, and three prominent Cuban musicians: HAMMADI VALDES, YELFRIS VALDES, and ORESTE NODA. Their releases, such as "El Alacran (Vinyl Factory Exclusive)" from 2019, showcase a hypnotic Cuban influence. Other works, like "Quasi - Ariwo (album teaser)," exhibit an avant-garde blend of Afro-Cuban jazz, techno, and experimental electronic music with Caribbean and Iranian elements.

Ariwo grał w Karl Kutter na Fusion festival 2026.
