Arne Schattenberg emerged from a background of coal mining and punk rock in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, to create a sound characterized by raw noise and gritty textures, initially as a drummer before transitioning behind the decks in 2010. After numerous local projects and countless hours spent in smoky venues, he joined the traveling circus of 3000Grad in Mecklenburg, allowing him to tour extensively across Europe with his sets.
