Bakir

BAKIR is an electronic trio that pushes boundaries with their unique sound, blending North African rhythms from the Maghreb to Middle Eastern melodies, infused with Mediterranean maqams. Their energetic compositions, featuring traditional instruments, drum machines, and synthesizers, invite movement and dance towards a trance-like state. Combining oriental, ethnic, and industrial sounds, BAKIR offers a timeless universality. The three musicians, who have collaborated for over a decade within the collective label Baklawa Music, create original compositions with traditional influences. Their releases on Soundcloud include remixes of Enur's "Calabria," Tinariwen's "Sastanàqqàm," and Maza Akaloulou, showcasing their ability to fuse various musical styles into a danceable, humanist, and libertarian soundscape.
