Hibylo
Hibylo, a Berlin-based trio, is renowned for their exploration of musical fringes, blending elements of psychedelia and improvisation. Their sound exhibits an unexpected sense of unpredictability, drawing inspiration from artists like Sun Ra, Jon Hassell, and early German kosmische musik. The group consists of Jose Serrano (voice, synths, trumpet), Pascal Karier (drums and FX), and Pedro Almiro (voice, bass, synths). Their releases on Soundcloud, such as "Hibylo live at Ouch#2" (2019) and "Mini Can," showcase their electronic, improvisational, and synth-driven style. Average Negative, a Berlin-based label, has released Hibylo's work in unique formats as part of a series of multidisciplinary art projects. Notable releases include "Celestine EP" (2018) on vinyl and "The Gloss Effect" (2020) on CD.
