Julio Victoria

Julio Victoria, born in Colombia's coffee region, found his musical calling in Germany's Plattentasche record store. His journey led him to house and techno, culminating in a dedication to selection and production. Victoria's LIVE project began in 2014, aiming to transcend the dance floor. He merges electronic rhythms with indigenous instruments, creating an experimental soundscape that spans various genres and cultures. His music draws inspiration from Colombia's diverse roots, particularly the sounds of the pacific coast and eastern plains. Afro-Colombian instruments like the marimba are combined with the harp, a staple of Joropo country music. His recent releases under the Victoria Label showcase a versatile electronic style, encompassing House and Experimental genres. Notable works include "Memories Flowing" (2023), "On Balance" (2022), "Indigo" (2021), "Lo Que (Se) Fue" (2021), and "Astrolabe" (2019).
