mokeyanju is a versatile DJ and vinyl selector, known for her eclectic sets that blend Detroit's Hip Hop and House legacy with Fuji, Highlife, Ndombolo, and percussive music. Her extensive travels have led her to collect records from various regions, including East Africa and the Caribbean, discovering Calypso, Zanzibarian Taarab, Benga, Soukous, and contemporary East African producers. Her musical journey is reflected in her sets, which span jazz-infused afrobeat, deep house, disco vibes, dilla-inspired hip hop beats, and wavy afro-fusion sounds. mokeyanju has played memorable sets in diverse locations such as PUNGWE in Joburg, Backyard in Lagos, YAASAA Launch in Accra, BAK AH YARD in Point Fortin (Trinidad), and several exclusive house parties in Berlin. In addition to her DJ work, mokeyanju is also a dancer, poet, writer, and singer, as well as a member of Collectiv3. She has previously been a radio presenter for BCR, YAASAA, and SOASRADIO.
