Monte Mai, a Swiss-Grenadian pop trio consisting of Fabio Besomi, Fabio Pinto, and Anais Schmidt, create mesmerizing and psychedelic Art Pop. Their music is a unique blend of Swiss precision and Caribbean freschezza, featuring dilated melodies, angelic voices, and punching electronic beats in perfect harmony. Deconstructed rhythms, smoky bass riffs, lanky psychedelic nursery rhyme-like vocal lines, analog synths, and angelic voices characterize their music. Their debut album Eye Sea Double (2023) received critical acclaim and comparisons to Metronomy, LCD Soundsystem, The Knife, Son Lux, Animal Collective, and Vanishing Twin. They have played at various festivals and shared bills with notable acts such as Ibeyi, M83, Cigarettes After Sex, Los Bitchos, Nu Genea, Phoenix, CCCP, and many others. Their upcoming studio album is planned for release in March 2025, followed by extensive touring across Europe.
