Moritz Fasbender

Moritz Fasbender is an alias of Friederike Bernhardt, a Leipzig-based pianist and composer. With this identity, she focuses on solo pieces that subtly incorporate electronics. She aims to bridge the gap between electroacoustics and piano playing, not just using reverb or filters, but enhancing the already vast world of the piano with a concrete, precise language of sound design. This approach satisfies her love for music while also addressing her inability to focus on one thing alone, as she struggles with ADHD in its final stages. We, however, find no fault in her music, quite the opposite.
