Kulku

Kulku, associated with the Phase Group label based in Glasgow, UK, presents a unique fusion of minimalist percussion, folk, krautrock, post-punk, and no wave. Their music primarily utilizes acoustic sound sources, creating an atmosphere where xylophones, tambourines, timpani, wooden percussion, two drum kits, cellos, harmonicas, saxophones, and scrap metal are common elements. On stage, eight musicians from Berlin deliver repetitive, trance-inducing phrases that can be both serene and dream-like or wild and primitive.
