Rami Abi Rafi

Rami Abi Rafi, a DJ and producer, blends electronic music with traditional Lebanese music, cold wave, and folk documentation. His monthly radio shows on Cashmere Radio, Noods Radio, and Radio Alhara feature Insijam, Love Is On My Side, and Layali Insijam, showcasing a variety of genres. Sampling and reworking Oud, Nay, Qanun, Tabla, and field recordings from Lebanon, his productions transform Arabic instrumentation into drone and polyrhythm, exploring themes of memory, time, and existential exile. As a DJ, he plays with patience and weight, translating the same concerns into a different form on the dance floor.
