Saeleen Bouvar, the recipient of the Kaleidoskop Art Prize 2024, is a visionary electronic music artist known for their queer-centric sets and as the founder of TRANSTRONICA Festival, featuring a trans lineup. With over three decades of influence from queer club culture, Bouvar's sound traverses disco, Chicago house, acid house, electroclash, and techno, while their performances have graced prestigious European events such as Fusion Festival 2019, Vogelball 2022, and TRANSTRONICA. As the Salonnière of Salon Queertronique in Hamburg, Bouvar continues to push boundaries within the electronic music landscape, fostering an inclusive space for Trans* artists and celebrating queer identity.
