Chris Schwarzwälder

As a versatile artist, Christopher Schwarzwalder is renowned for his deep and restrained house style that sets him apart from others. Born in Frankfurt am Main in the 80s, he began making hip-hop beats in the 90s before discovering techno at Offenbach's Robert Johnson club. In 2009, he moved to Berlin and started DJing at KaterHolzig, where he found a group of like-minded individuals. His collaborative efforts, both as a solo producer and with various side-projects, have gained international acclaim. Notable among these is the Feathered Sun collective, formed in 2013 with Acid Pauli, Nu, Jo.Ke, and Raz O’Hara. The group's dreamy, groovy, and improvised music represents a unique musical freedom. Christopher Schwarzwalder's partnership with Mira has been instrumental in their internationally acclaimed back-to-back sets at KaterHolzig and Kater Blau. Their deep, clubby, and melancholic sets have captivated audiences for nearly a decade. His collaborative work with Iannis Ritter showcases a more melodic and electro approach compared to his other projects. Christopher Schwarzwalder's music is characterized by its reserved, logical, rational, melancholic, and humorous nature. He prefers discussing synthesizers and sound rather than his extensive global performance history or production hits.
