The Ex

The Ex, originating from Amsterdam, Netherlands, began their musical journey in 1979. Known for their exploratory approach, they have collaborated with various artists, including jazz musicians and an Iraqi-Kurdish band, Kamagurka, Tom Cora, Sonic Youth, Han Bennink, Jan Mulder, Shellac, and Wolter Wierbos. Their latest releases include "If Your Mirror Breaks" (2025), "Great! / The Evidence" (2024), and "27 passports" (2018). The Ex's music transcends genre boundaries, making comfort zones vanish, and their collaborations with musicians from 45 countries reflect a freeing spirit of shoreless Jazz. Their work combines anarchic noise with fluid grooves, telling imaginative tales of a continuous quest for a better world since 1979.
